Actress Madhoo Bala who is best remembered for her role of a rural girl in Mani Ratnam's Roja and Shankar's debut film Gentleman is making a comeback in Tamil films after 18 years with Balaji Mohan's Vaayai Moodi Pesavum. The last film she acted in a full-fledged role in Tamil before this was Prabhu starrer Panchalangkuruchi directed by Seeman.

The actress who has however been continuing her acting career with Hindi and Telugu films attended the audio launch and press meet of VMP that has Dulquer Salman and Nazriya Nazeem playing the lead roles. While addressing the media persons the actress said even after the lapse of two decades, people use to refer her as 'Roja' girl and thanked Mani Ratnam for that.

She recalled how nave she was during the shoot of Roja to complain to Mani for having the shoots as early as 5 AM. With sequels becoming familiar to Indian cinema Madhoo expressed her willingness to act in part 2 of Roja

She also thanked Balaji Mohan for giving her a powerful character in Vaayai Moodi Pesavum.
How will it be to see Mani diecting Madhoo in Roja sequel?
